 On behalf of the Central Committee and all members and supporters of our Party, we wish to congratulate your Party for your tremendously successful campaign in the recent Greek parliamentary elections. The significant increase in both the popular vote (to 8.15%) and seats won (a gain of 10 seats to a total of 22) is a testament both to the effectiveness of your campaign and to the growing political consciousness and radicalization of the masses of the Greek people – first and foremost, among the working class itself – expressing itself in increased support for the KKE.

 These big advances confirm the correctness of your Party’s principled and militant position, and of its fidelity to Marxism-Leninism, conveyed openly and honestly to the working people both prior to and during the election campaign. This victory stands as an inspiration to Canadian Communists and to the Communist and revolutionary movement internationally.
